2023 Ram 2500 & 3500 Heavy Duty Trucks
Just as we thought the Ram heavy-duty trucks couldn’t get any better, we were delighted to find that the Ram brand has outdone itself once more with the release of the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 models. As the manufacturer keeps raising the benchmark, competitors will once again struggle to keep up in 2023.
Models and Pricing
The 2023 Ram 3500 and 2500 will be available in six trims: the Tradesman, Big Horn, Power Wagon, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. Plus, the Ram 2500 will get an additional new trim to its lineup, the Rebel.
Moreover, the Power Wagon is designed for extreme off-roading and hauling. Starting prices are expected to be slightly higher than the current 2022 model, which is now at $59,340 (3500) and $58,340 (2500).
Features and Specs
You can expect upgrades in both models to make your hauling safer and more manageable, including a nifty new trailer tow application and an enhanced camera system with multiple view modes. Other available 31.24cm modern digital instrument cluster, a digital rearview mirror, and a sport Mopar performance hood (for the Laramie and Limited).
Performance, Configurations, and Towing Capacity
In 2023, you’ll be able to purchase both models in three engine configurations. The standard V8 HEMI 6.4L FuelSaver eight-speed automatic gas engine (429 lb-ft of torque and 410 hp). For more power, the turbocharged six-speed automatic Cummins 6.7L engine (850 lb-ft of torque and 370 hp). The Power Wagon has a unique suspension, making it the most capable off-road pickup truck ever manufactured.
For insane power, the 6.7L can produce 1,075 lb-ft of torque and 420 hp. Diesel engine upgrades will increase the starting price between $10,000 to $12,000. You’ll be able to haul up to 16,824kg and carry a maximum payload of 3,483.5kg with a rear-wheel drive configuration. The 2023 Ram 2500 can haul a maximum weight of up to 9,072kg.
Interior
Bluetooth connectivity and a 12.70cm touchscreen are standard. Upgrades in upper trims consist of a 30.48cm touchscreen with Uconnect 5 and a four-speaker sound system. Should you choose a higher trim, you can get a 10-speaker or 17-speaker audio system.
Exterior
Trucks will be available in many cab styles and bed configurations. The regular cab has a 2.43m bed, and the crew cab has an option of a 2.43m or a 1.95m bed. The mega cab provides more interior space and legroom, with a 1.95m bed.
Available two-tone colours for the Power Wagon include magnificent Crystal Pearl Diamond Black and exquisite Brown Metallic RV Match Walnut.
