Body Format and Seating Capacity
The 2020 Ram ProMaster City comes in two main formats, the Cargo Van and the Wagon. The van option seats two and has windowless side and rear doors, while the wagon version ups the seating to five alongside fixed windows at the rear and sliding side doors.
SUV-Like Performance Levels
Both versions of the ProMaster City are built to a compact minivan size, and as the name suggests are geared to city driving and lighter workloads rather than heavy duty haulage. But nonetheless, the ProMaster has some impressive performance specs.
The naturally aspirated, four cylinder 2.4L engine pushes out 178hp and 174lb-ft of torque, which is a sizable amount for a van of this compact size. The transmission is a nine-speed automatic configuration, linked to front-wheel drive only.
The ample power means the vehicle has a payload capacity of 855kg coupled with a towing capability of 907kg, both of which are highly respectable figures for a compact van design.
The ProMaster features independent suspension at both front and rear for a balanced drive, even when fully laden on challenging terrain. This contributes to the overall lively feel, responding more like a SUV than a typical minivan, with 0-100km/h acceleration hovering around 10 seconds.
Fuel Economy

Interior Technology and Comfort

Both the Cargo Van and Wagon variants are available in the standard ST trim, with starting prices of $32,470 and $33,470 respectively. Moving up to the SLT trim, with a slightly sleeker exterior design and upgraded headlights and wheels, costs $33,470 for the van and $34,470 for the wagon.
