[in-tran-sit, zit] n. conveyance or transportation from one place to another… In-Transit units represent our inventory that have left the factory and are making their way to Eastside Dodge. Some come by boat, others come by truck, but the majority of our new inventory leave the factory on rail cars and cross the country by train. The average time it takes to come from Ontario or Michigan factories is about three to four weeks, depends on how many stops along the way.
