The New 2024 Dodge Charger EV Roars with Electric Power!

There’s a lot of anticipation surrounding the release of the 2024 Dodge Charger EV. It’s the first time Stellantis has built a passenger electric vehicle in Canada, and Canadian drivers just can’t wait.

This innovative EV muscle car will be built at Stellantis plants in Ontario. In 2022, the assembly plants of Brampton and Windsor received a $3.6 billion investment for modernization, and this massive investment is already bearing fruits. Two-door models of the new Dodge Charger Daytona BEV should be released by the end of the year, while four-door models will be released in 2025—Stellantis hasn’t yet disclosed the release date.

Keep reading to learn more about its most important features like performance, design, and driving range.

New Muscles

The Charger has been touted as the “world’s first and only Muscle car,” boasting 496 horsepower to back up the claim in the Charger Daytona R/T Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) version. However, drivers can get even more power from the Daytona Scat Pack, which delivers an impressive 670 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque capacity. All EV models in the 2024 lineup received the Daytona suffix, running on a 100.5kW nickel cobalt battery.

The vehicle can reach 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. All models have a 400v propulsion system that provides instant torque response and zero tailpipe emissions while delivering supercharged V8 power. There are dual electric motors in the front and rear of the car.

The range is approximately 510km for R/T models and 418km for the Scat Pack. Both models count on a 350kW fast charger that charges up to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes. Stellantis also provides free public credits for recharging with Free2Move Charge EV. To see complete details of what has been updated from previous 2023 Dodge charger wait for the final release, although most of the details has been published by Dodge Canada.

Striking Lines

The exterior design is inspired by traditional muscle cars, with a wide body and sports-like curves. The Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust is the first of its kind, making the vehicle roar like old-school muscle vehicles.

You can combine the 325 rear tires with the 305 front tires for a neck-breaking start. Daytona models also come with Dodge’s exclusive R-Wing design, which was created to maximize aerodynamics and performance at top speeds.

The interior design looks just as thrilling. Seats are available in Nappa leather, black suede Nappa leather, and demon red Nappa leather. The front seats have adjustable thigh bolsters and fixed headrests for extra comfort and safety.

Next-Generation Technology

The high-performance powertrain is paired with cutting-edge technology. There are two 4K displays on the front console: a 12.3-inch infotainment display with Uconnect 5 and a 16-inch digital cluster display. The sci-fi-like design includes an 8.0-inch head-up display and Attitude Adjustment Lighting.

The vehicle also comes with a nine-speaker audio system with a subwoofer. You can also opt for a premium Alpine sound system with 18 speakers. The 2024 lineup is expected to come with a new digital app with remote controls for functions like charging schedules and charging levels.
