2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review | Most-Awarded SUV Brand

Jeep’s Grand Cherokee has been a reliable and performance-driven SUV brand for over 30 years. It always stood top of its class with superior technology and features. The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee promises to deliver all that and more. This luxury SUV is powerful, delivers high performance and continues to improve by the year.

What’s New In 2023?

For 2023, the Trailhawk trim is exclusively available using a 4xe plug-in hybrid engine. Other changes to this Jeep model are that the Limited trim now offers the option of an Alpine audio system with nine speakers. In comparison, the Summit and Overland models offer the option of a McIntosh sound system featuring 19 speakers.

The Limited and Overland trims also offer a 25.65cm touchscreen infotainment centre using Uconnect 5 NAV. The exterior and body design of the vehicle also decreases vehicle weight, vibration, noise and harshness using new aerodynamic design and technology.

Features

The Uconnect 5 infotainment system is standard on all models, along with a 21.34cm touchscreen that can even go up to 26cm on some trims. It supports Alexa, Apple Carplay or Android Auto, and navigation systems are also available. The 26cm full-colour Digital Gauge Cluster display ensures the driver has access to all information at a glance.

Many safety and driver’s assist features are available, like Lane Management, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more. There are six built-in speakers in the standard trim.

Specifications

The base model uses a Quadra-Trac 4x4 system and has a Pentastar VVT 3.6L V6 engine, using an eight-speed automatic transmission. The standard base has 43.18cm Fine Silver aluminum wheels, but it can go up to 53.34cm machined aluminum wheels with Granite Crystal pockets on specific trims.

It can tow 2,812kg, which is boosted to 3,265kg if you upgrade to the 5.7L Class-Exclusive V8 engine. The standard engine gives you horsepower up to 295 hp and a torque of 352.51 nm. However, this can be pushed up to 357 hp and 528.77 nm with the V8 engine. It has a highway fuel efficiency of 9.05L/100 KM and a city fuel efficiency of 12.38L/100 KM, which is quite low for large SUVs.

Pricing

The base price for the starting model, the Laredo, is $53,990. There are six trims available, and depending on the trim, your starting price can go up to $80,545 without any added extras. You can choose between five colour options, but three options will add a fee between $395 and $495 to the starting price. On finance, you’re looking at weekly payments of $169 for 96 months at an interest rate of 5.99% with the base model.
