2021 RAM 1500 review

The 2021 Ram 1500 starts at $44,545 and comes in eight model configurations: Tradesman, Big Horn, Sport, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, Limited, and TRX. The base model Tradesman comes equipped with a push-button start, automatic quad-halogen headlamps, 18-inch wheels, and easy-to-clean vinyl flooring. The standard engine is a 3.6-litre Pentastar VVT V6 engine with eTorque that offers a combined fuel economy of 10.8 L/100km. It delivers 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque.

Included with the Tradesman model are a Uconnect 3 multimedia centre featuring a 5-inch touchscreen and six speakers, a ParkView rear back-up camera, RamBox cargo management system, and more. For drivers wanting more power, there is an optional 5.7-litre HEMI VVT V8 engine that allows for maximum towing capability.

For those with money to spare, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is a sight to behold and a truck to own. This off-road warrior is powered by a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 Hellcat engine that provides over 700 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. However, it will cost dearly with a starting price of $93,995. But with every feature imaginable, there is absolutely nothing lacking in the TRX.

2021 Ram 1500 Features

The 2021 Ram 1500 includes plenty of updates and additions from the 2020 model, many of which focus on driver safety and comfort. Full-speed forward collision warning is now standard on all trims except for the Tradesman and Big Horn. In addition, the newly available Trailer Reverse Control, along with the stand-alone options of power-folding trailer mirrors and trailer camera prep kit, makes towing simpler. The camera-based rearview mirror is also new, along with a colour head-up display to allow drivers to keep updated on the truck's stats while their eyes remain focused on the road ahead.

While it is easy to love the plush leather and unique colour schemes of the fancy Longhorn and Limited trim levels, the base Tradesman and Big Horn models also offer high-quality materials and feel for thousands less. A clever, multi-configuration storage console is thoughtfully designed, offering cupholders and other bins for placing items.

2021 Ram 1500 Performance

The 2021 Ram 1500 is the most capable full-size pickup truck. It was named best-in-class for standard V8 towing, offering up to 5,783 kg of capability. With this power, drivers can feel comfortable hauling anything from boats to trailers and more. Nothing beats the power and strength of the Ram 1500 pickup.

The Ram 1500 continues to offer a ride so refined that drivers forget that they are driving a full-size pickup truck. With better handling, trailer control, and ride quality, the 2021 Ram 1500 blows away the competition.
